House Number Sign

When we built our house I knew I wanted a
cute sign at the end of our driveway with
our house number and a flower box on it.
I even drove around to look at other homes
to see if they had something similar so I
could show my husband what I had in
mind and give him some idea to work with.

Well he started sketching and came up
with this beauty, it has become one of
the favorite things in my garden.
I love to change up the flowers in
the flower box every year but I
especially love the flowers I've chosen
this year. They have grown tremendously
since I planted them last month.

I stained the posts a deep brown to match
our deck and painted the backboard for
the number & the flower  box a cream color
to match the railing of our deck.

We added a solar light to shine down on the
house number once it becomes dark outside.

Here are some other flowers from my garden.

Love that sign! Such a great welcome to your house! I love when people think outside the box and make something practical - beautiful! I have my house numbers on a planter box that my dad made. Your flowers are beautiful! I found you over at the Romantic Home party!

How fabulous! What a striking entrance to your home. I've been struggling to figure out a number sign for our house, but it's 6 digits and always seems so overpowering! Maybe this is the way to go for me! Thanks for sharing it!

Wow, that is wonderful. How beautiful to incorporate a whole focal point with flowers and everything. I love that it's suspended. So classy. As for your flower images...how sweet to get such a great up close view of them. Do you know the name of the ones that look like bells? I love those! Thanks for inspiring me to work on my house number presentation!

You have a really nice house sign and the plantings around it. We had periodically looked at unique house numbers, but weren't drawn to ant....that is until I went to the Seattle Homeand Garden Show last year and saw an artisans work with inlaid tile numbers and a flower painted frame. We ordered it on the spot, and now Love it. I hope that you will continue to enjoy yours.
